Black and White Photography
Black and white photography holds a particular fascination for me. Ansel Adams’ photos with their high contrast and great detail are often my inspiration. When combined with negative space the impact can be stunning. Black and white can also force out distracting colorful elements and throw the subject into sharp relief. Often subtle details can be drawn out of an image that would get missed in color. Sometimes the image takes on an ephemeral or otherworldly feel.
